I have been dealing with a broker concerning my remortgage because I am on a fixed term contract of two years (on a grad scheme). My contract started date this year. I am seeking a 5 year fixed rate mortgage. Property worth £200,000, I want to borrow £150,000. I purchased the property three years ago for £157,000 and I currently owe 115k to RBS (One Account)

I am an IT contractor looking to buy a home in Bedford. My next step is to secure a mortgage ideally from RBS (One Account). Am I best advised to contact RBS (One Account) directly or seek the services of a contractor specialist mortgage broker who focuses on dealing with contractors and RBS (One Account).

I’m in a bit of an onerous situation in as much as I and my partner are both self-employed (contractors) without any great accounts to show, although things are on the up I hope for this to change shortly. Basically my question for you is how hard would it be to get a 125k contractor mortgage with a lender such as RBS (One Account)?

As contractor looking for a mortgage with RBS (One Account) will they want to assess my experience, my history of contracting, the length of my current contract and the likelihood of it being renewed? If so I will start to get the paperwork together.

Going through the contractor mortgage process to move to a buy to let with a new mortgage company. All documents done and submitted. Received communication from the lender to say they can't move forward with application unless my current manager writes me a letter saying my contract will definitely get extended and when new end date will be. Any advice?
